With well over 100 years of combined experience within the technology sector, Microcomms Professional Services have continued to increase its portfolio of design services clients and projects. Our design services are technology centric, with the ability to deliver all the necessary design components needed for all sectors (from residential and office environments through to stadiums and research laboratories), to function effectively and deliver the technological services and solutions required by its stakeholders.
Microcomms’ recent journey has seen residential and home automation projects increase over the last 2-3 years, as Cornwall has encountered an upsurge in high net worth individuals looking to take advantage of the clean air and climate. Our design approach allows us to simplify what can be looked upon as a complex process by assessing the needs of the client, but also appreciating the way in which all elements of the build process must dovetail effectively. The ability to work in conjunction with builder, mechanical and electrical specialists and interior designers, ensures that the design and subsequent integration runs smoothly as we can be engaged to oversee or integrate the project following the initial design phase.
Larger scale design and consultancy projects range from boutique hotels across Cornwall and Devon to exemplar research and design facilities in Hull. RB (formally Reckitt Benckiser) are one of the world’s leading consumer health companies with over 37,000 employees in over 60 locations around the world. Microcomms Professional Services were appointed to the client lead design team 2015, with a view to the design campus distribution network & premises cabling systems as well as interactive/inclusive tech to serve the site. The aim of the project was to deliver an industry leading and exemplar research and development laboratory within an historic town where RB have operated since 1840. The design team have worked in conjunction with M&W to ensure the outcome reflects the company’s global status.
Our ability to apply the practical side of what the business offers into a comprehensive design and consultation service allows our clients to negate risk and develop clear and effective roadmaps and strategies for the integration of technology. By applying day to day installation and support practices we are positioned at the leading edge of new technology developments and can offer support to all sectors from micro-businesses to enterprise – we are ‘The Technology People.’
