St Petrocs is an independent Cornish charity working with people who are experiencing homelessness.  As part of a broad range of services, St Petrocs offer supported accommodation in over 20 sites across the county.  Their staff and volunteers move between sites on a regular basis.

There was a requirement for staff to move amongst these sites and connect to the company Wide Area Network seamlessly and with minimal interaction from the users.

Utilising VPN technology across St Petrocs firewalls and routers, Microcomms enabled St Petrocs  Mobile (Remote) users to securely access their internal company data located on private, internal servers from remote locations without the need for user interaction, no matter what site they are at. The solution connects users machines directly onto the St Petrocs network, the same as it would be if located in the office.

Staff access these resources via the means of a VPN technology, which authenticates them via a central system, using multiple types of certification and authentication.

A secondary backup VPN was put in place for users in the event that the primary VPN experiences issues.

If your organisation needs connectivity across multiple sites, give us a call on 03300 020 000 for a no-obligation discussion.
