Our long standing consultancy contract, with a global producer of health and hygiene products, is no different.
We secured the design and consultancy contract following many years of collaboration on refurbishment, and new build projects, supplying Infrastructure and Audio-Visual solutions. Following the great results achieved within this role, thanks to our hard-working team of specialists, the client reached out for our Design and Consultancy services to compliment the design process, construction, and delivery service we had successfully provided. With over 20 years working closely with this client, we have grown with the business as it expanded in over 60 countries world-wide. A testament to the time and energy invested from everyone on board!
The Design and Consultancy services are not categorised under an SLA agreement. Rather we act in the capacity of their IT and AV consultants. This is for global design, build and refurbishment projects with as many as five large projects on the go at any one time. Those could be in the US, Europe or Asia. Whilst we are proud to be based in Cornwall, as this is our home, our entire team encourages sharing our knowledge and expertise far and wide. We love to help small and large businesses from a variety of sectors, and from a variety of countries.

Team structure
We have a dedicated consultant team which comprises a consultant lead, AV lead, Infrastructure, WIFI & Network Designers, all of which work cohesively together towards an end goal. In terms of remote or onsite working, it is a combination of the two, tailored to each project. We like to personalise our working style to best suit the organisations we work with.
The design stages leading up to the construction phase we can carry out online, if this works for everybody. This falls inline with our company mission, and the clients, to reduce travel related emissions, with Microcomms saving over 100,000 miles per annum by meeting virtually! A chance to do good by our planet. Once the design stage develops into the construction phase, meetings are held on the site premises, with other members of the site construction teams and the client.
Overcoming hurdles
We know how important it is to meet compliance regulations, in all design proposals. We understand that even a minor set-back is not good for everyone! This is why our team has extensive experience in such matters, to reduce delays, and keep projects running on time and to the highest standard.
Other hurdles that could be encountered would be coordination, and interfacing, with other consultant service providers, MEP Design Consultants, Architects and Construction partners. This is normally overcome with daily and weekly meetings. This gives all members of the team a chance to align on plans and outcomes as much as possible, to address and overcome any issues before they appear.
