Microcomms provides full design and build, turnkey solution.

Our role can often involve taking a clients concept idea and developing this into a finished, installed solution.

A recent example of this was a project in Hull for one of our large corporate clients. The project consisted of two main streams of works; the redevelopment of an existing four story office space built circa 1890 and the construction of a brand new, state of the art R&D centre. The project architects’ vision was to bridge the old and new with a meeting and showcase pathway linking the two workspaces.

Microcomms were involved at a very early stage and through consultation with the appointed design teams and client were tasked with designing and installing innovative audio visual systems throughout the build. As with any large project, coordination with a myriad of trades and professional advisors was required and Microcomms worked closely with M&W, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, Scott Brownrigg Architects, Ryder Architects and Hurley Palmer Flatt M&E Specialists. The project was at times extremely challenging, however through clear lines of communication and a cooperative approach from all disciplines, successful delivery was achieved.

Microcomms ability to work at both design level and delivery level provides the client with an interface between onsite trades and works and the clients vision for their project. This “foot in both camps” approach allows Microcomms to react quickly and effectively to any changes (from either side) and works to maintain the clients required outcome; through clear communication and an understanding of how changes on a construction site can dramatically alter what the client is having built and in turn how this can disrupt the clients vision for their overall goal.
