New WiFi system offering an above par service

Client: Trevose Golf & Country Club, Cornwall   Category: Guest Services & Administration    Tools Used: WiFi, CCTV, Cabling, IT services

Trevose Golf & Country Club is based in beautiful Constantine Bay in Cornwall and is one of the Country’s finest links courses. As well as offering superb golf, the club is also committed to a fantastic customer experience in all of its accommodation and leisure areas.  The client approached Microcomms to improve WiFi connectivity across the site.

For most guests these days – either visiting a venue for leisure of business, WiFi is an important consideration. Not only does the WiFi need to be free, it also needs to offer great speeds and a reliable connection. Trevose was struggling to achieve this consistently. Microcomms upgraded the system across the site to new Xirrus Access Points, including a point to point connection ensuring even the remote areas of site have good coverage. We also upgraded data cabling where required, installed new switches and firewall ensuring the background IT infrastructure was able to manage the new WiFi system.

Guest response has been fantastic – the club is very busy over the Summer period with local members and visitors alike and the upgraded WiFi has coped with device-heavy families and light browsers alike!

As well as installing the new WiFi system and IT infrastructure we’ve also helped with site-wide CCTV ensuring physical security is in line with cyber security.

We couldn’t ask for more than the high praise we’ve had from Nick Gammon, Managing Director at Trevose Golf & Country Club:

“In our sporting hospitality business, customers expect great WiFi as well as fantastic golf. Microcomms have helped us meet our clients high expectations and ensure that visitors coming to Trevose have an all-round excellent experience. The team have worked really hard across all areas and we’re very happy with the service we’ve had.”
