Microcomms Professional services have sourced, implemented and upgraded many large networks ( 500+ users) to Windows 2003, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange 2003. In addition we have worked on many smaller networks, including SBS 2000 & 2003.   As an example below are details of a recent project that we have carried out at Dover District Council.   We are an authorised Microsoft Partner, and hold MCP and MCSE certifications.

Dover District council have been a long standing customer of Microcomms Professional Services, and when they needed a partner to assist in implementing a new email system we provided a detailed proposal with firm costings, and subsequently were appointed.

The existing network was an NT4 domain with Novell Groupwise.  During phase one we upgraded the domain to active directory, without any downtime for the users.  We then implemented an Exchange 2003 server using DL380 hardware from HP, with SAN based storage and backup software from Veritas.  Using migration software, we then transferred mailboxes across to Exchange, whilst keeping message flow between exchange and groupwise for the users still to be migrated.

Once all users were trained on outlook, the groupwise server was decomissioned.  Over 500 users now use the new system, and are making the most of the extensive features provided within Exchange 2003.
